Welcome to this on-line photographic gallery. Here, you will find nostalgic impressions of some cities. You might find that there is, in essence, a certain timelessness in these photographs. The lovers of thirty years ago look very much like the lovers of today. But then, it might also strike you that the lovers on the bank of a river in Tokyo look very much like their counterparts in Paris or in any other cities. The enigmatic smile of a young girl on board a ship looks like all the enigmatic smiles of young girls around the world. The planet is big, its inhabitants very diverse in their cultural traits and origins. And yet, there seem to be a certain universality to it all. Outside the constraints of modern living, the people still have the same basic yearning and needs. The skyline changes, there are now more cars and more pollutants. Instant communication and the Internet have come to this world. The stage has changed. Deep inside, the actors haven't. Whatever you find in these photographs, be it nostalgia, the illusory stopping of time, poetry reminiscent of Basho or Verlaine, or a stroll in Paris or Tokyo, I offer to share it with you.
