The Direction de la formation continue et aux entreprises, in collaboration with the ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI), offers intensive French courses as well as specialized courses.
Intensive full-time courses
This program is intended for those who recently arrived in Québec. It is offered four times a year, 30 hours per week. The courses are designed according to the communicative approach and are intended to enable communication in French in everyday life situations, as well as to ensure a successful integration into Québec society.

Written and oral communication – Module 4
Available only to those who completed the Module 3 at full time.
This part-time module was designed specifically for immigrants who wish to improve their oral and written communication skills. Available during the day or evening, these classes are intended to enhance the understanding of oral and written French language.
In cégeps and universities, this module is available only to those who completed the Module 3 at full time. This module is also available in community centers.
Le cégep du Vieux Montréal offers part-time evening French classes to meet specific career needs. These courses are intended for candidates with intermediate to advanced level of French with work experience in the following fields:
- Engineering and applied sciences
- Management, law and business
